What We Believe

People Join our LifeHouse family from all around the United States, from every walk of life, and from many different Church traditions. We believe in the importance of biblcal foundations, connection, and resourcing. We also appreciate the uniqueness of the body of Christ. Finally, we are intentional and passionate about our LifeHouse culture in everything we do. Below are some hallmarks of our community.

Our Biblical Core Beliefs

Our Mission

We are showing the world they are loved and highly valued.

<Summary here on the mission>

Our culture

Above all, these motivators and actions are the outcome of our Biblical beliefs, our heart and passion for people, and our love of God.

Mission

We show people they are loved and highly Valued. We do this by participating in services, life groups, growth opportunities, special events, serving and intentionally building relationships and community.

Vision

We all pray for and passionately pursue the fulfillment of our vision as direction from the Lord.  We do this by making sure that we all take care of the small things.

Value God's Presence

We genuinely, passionately worship God.

Ministry Community

We serve consistently in a ministry but take time to be a community (Life Groups, etc.) In a true Christian community, you allow yourself to be known and to know people.

Building New Relationships

We invest time before and after service to interact with new or unfamiliar people.  We will do our best to answer any questions they might have.

Kids House and LifeHouse Students

Kids and Youth ministries are primary, not secondary or babysitting.  We are raising an army of world changers and giant slayers that are filled with the presence of God and respond to his leading.  We will reach a generation before they need to be rescued.  Teachers are screened, background checked and commit to be ready to love, teach and make class an exciting environment.

Integrity

We represent Jesus Christ and LifeHouse both, at and away from church. We constantly strive to improve our character and competence.

Accountability

Accountability is a must. It is a regular choice where we are transparent/honest to godly people who holds us accountable to grow in Christ and walk with us on our journey.

Teamwork

We sacrifice personal preferences to advance God’s kingdom together (e.g. parking spaces, ministry roles, comfort zones).  We are the body; we will not be stuck in one ministry assignment.  We will be flexible to do whatever leadership feels directed from God to place us in.

Graciousness

We smile, keep good eye contact and communicate to everyone with courtesy and respect (e.g. “Good morning,” “Thank you,” “I’ll be happy to” and “My pleasure”).  Everyone receives many warm greetings and pleasant goodbyes.

Love

We maintain an atmosphere of LOVE, ACCEPTANCE and FORGIVENESS. We first listen to people to understand, then we respond to be understood.  We love people unconditionally, accept people where they are (understanding we are all a work in progress) and forgive people for their shortcomings, faults and failures.

Sit One, Worship One

Our goal is that every server worships one service and serves another service to ensure personal spiritual health and that they remain current on teaching, direction and experience of the Holy Spirit.

Unity

We resolve conflicts quickly and graciously with forthright communication to the appropriate individuals, not by complaining to others.  We do not criticize our leaders, team, congregation, other ministers or ministries… ever!  Our motto here is “stomp serpents while small.”  This is done by addressing conflicts quickly with the actual person you have the conflict with, so we don’t give place to frustration and gossip.

Extraordinary Service

We strive to notice – and even anticipate – the needs of others.  We escort and introduce people to the right persons and places rather than pointing or directing them.  We don’t walk by a piece of trash we pick it up, or if something is dirty we clean it.  We have an “its my job” attitude.

Safety

We maintain a safe and accident-free environment.  We attend to and report all injuries immediately to assure proper care and documentation.

Stewardship

We endeavor to do everything with excellence.  We protect God’s resources by conserving energy and supplies and properly maintaining and securing our facilities and equipment.

Faith

We do a lot with a little and expect the impossible, because our God is always faithful!

A Thankful People

We are thankful to the Lord, even in adversity.  We will not allow ourselves to forget His goodness.

Joy

We spread joy, have fun, and make things fun for others.

Rejoice Always

We sing and rejoice in the Lord at all times.

Dream Big

We will allow the breath of the Holy Spirit to speak to us and direct us to dream the impossible, believe the unattainable and achieve the DREAM!

Furthering God’s Kingdom

LifeHouse will be known as a Church where we Believe, Invest, Develop and Place leaders into their destiny.

Our Greater Network

THE ASSEMBLIES OF GOD

Our network consists of churches, ministers, missionaries and Christian organizations that we partner with in order to fulfill our God-given purposes within our communities and abroad. Some examples of this in action are:

  • Chi Alpha College Campus Ministry
  • Youth and Kids Camps
  • Dynamic Guest Speakers
  • Local and World Missions

The Assemblies of God was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with 300 people at the founding convention. Today there are nearly 13,000 churches in the U.S. with over 3 million members and adherents. There are more than 69 million Assemblies of God members worldwide, making the Assemblies of God the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination.

Our Core Biblical Beliefs

For the full details with Scriptures, please refer to our Foundational Beliefs.

LifeHouse Believes...

  1. The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
  2. There is only One True God–revealed in three persons...Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity).
  3. In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's son Jesus was both human and divine.
  4. Though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
  5. Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through 'Salvation' (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  6. We practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving Christ's gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord's Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ's suffering and death for our salvation.
  7. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  8. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
  9. Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
  10. The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe 'the Church' is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God's offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
  11. A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church.
  12. Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ's atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  13. The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth(the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  14. The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.
  15. A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
  16. Look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. 'And so shall we forever be with the Lord!'
